Tarot vs Oracle decks.  What’s the difference?

Tarot decks have the same 78 archetypal cards in each deck. A Tarot deck is split into the Major and Minor Arcana. The Minor Arcana is split into four suits and court cards.

Oracle decks can have any number of cards or any type of individual card the creator designs. Most come with a guidebook or have meanings printed on the card.

Do you like learning complex systems?

Would you prefer each deck has a completely different set of meanings?

Often, folks new to card reading may enjoy starting with an oracle deck.

Tarot is my personal favorite and what I use most often.

At times, I do mix in oracle cards in my Tarot readings.

Give yourself permission to play around and see what you like best! Card reading can be deeply introspective AND it can also feel like play!
